TIMELESS BRIDAL INSPO
Do you feel like you just want to look like yourself on your wedding day and you don't want full bridal glam? Quite often we have requests from our clients to have a look where they still look like themselves. They are not looking for a huge transformation, but to be an elevated version of themselves with a bridal touch. Hands down, this is one of our favorite looks to create.
We love this look because our brides feel put together and confident. We know that many of you are just not as comfortable with a lot of makeup. We love seeing your reaction when we create a natural but elevated bridal look, where you feel comfortable and confident with the perfect makeup amount.
Hair: Flowy Curls to Low Pony
We chose an effortless down style with a curl that is elongated and flowy. We added a handful of clip in extensions from The Hair Shop to add volume at the crown area. (One of favorite brands we love to recommend for extensions!)
For her second look, we pulled her hair into a twisted low ponytail to allow her beautiful face to show. A few face framing pieces with loose waves were left out to soften the look. A ponytail has been a go-to look for our brides who want a hair change, allowing them to stay cool and dance the night away. We recommend a hair change like this one after the ceremony.
Makeup: Soft Neutral with A Mauve Lip
For the makeup, we decided to go with a more natural, timeliness look using neutral colors with a golden undertone. Using a minimal amount of foundation, we were able to hide blemishes and even out her skin tone. We added a soft contour and highlight to catch the light and showcase her beautiful face structure. She had great brows to work with, but we wanted to make sure we filled them in slightly so they framed her face properly in photos.
Since we were using so many neutral colors, we wanted her lips to pop. For her lip color, we went slightly darker than her natural color. We used a muted mauve shade combined with nude to create this shade, a perfect balance of color to go with her neutral eyes. What we loved about this is that in every photo, her smile really popped, and she felt beautiful becuase she still felt like herself.
